Company history

Insinööritoimisto Ismo Lindberg Oy (Ltd) has 30 years experience of selling new and second hand machine tools and accessories.

Once upon a time young Ismo Lindberg worked for a while at Valmet, a company that today is known by name Metso. He had so many brilliant ideas he could not execute at Valmet so he realised that production was not the right place for him.

ye2 Ismo established his own company 1980 by name Insinööritoimisto Ismo Lindberg. The line of business was import and sales of machine tools.. Ismo was the first in Finland to create business relations to Taiwan and China in early 80´s. Since then company has experienced good and bad times, the worst being the severe economic depression in Finland in early 90´s. In 2003 company executed generation change as son Antti took operational leadership from Ismo who semi-retired and started as a Chairman of the Board.

Today

Today company is stronger than ever. The human resources are composed of a perfect division of young dynamic energy and mature experience which excels with Ismo´s 40 years experience in machine tool business. Along the years the company acquired also real estate to such an extend that in 2007 it was decided to separate it under a real estate company Autotalon Yrityspuisto Oy. This allows the main company to concentrate fully on it´s own business. In late 90´s company started project management service for comprehensive retrofit projects and also included shut-down and auction management into the service palette.

The company has sold several thousands of machines of which over 300 Chinese Diamond manual lathes, over 150 Taiwanese Johford CNC-machines and over 100 Italian Bianco saws.

The company is a member in EAMTM (European association of machine tool merchants) and well known both in Asia and Europe and e.g. has good contacts in Romania.

After generation change the turnover (MEUR) has developed as follows.
